The University of San Agustin held a Virtual Signing Ceremony and Unveiling of Commemorative Plaque to honor its renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding with Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd and Shimadzu Philippines Corporation on November 5.

The event speakers were representatives from both Shimadzu and USA, mainly SPC President Angelito Coo, USA President Fr. Frederick Comendador, Dr. Jonel Saludes, Dr. Doralyn Dalisay, Mr. Dave Chua, Dr. Zhaoqi Zhan, and Mr. Roque Castillo.

“I believe this agreement will not only serve the interest of both parties but, in the end, will serve the greater interest of humanity," said Comendador during the event.

Shimadzu provides the University with advanced analytical equipment utilized in scientific research in a partnership that seeks to motivate drug discovery and the development of natural products based on Philippine natural resources.
